TEXT: Luke 12:25 (NKJV)
“And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?”
THE WORD:
If we could add inches to our lives by worrying, some of us would be twenty-three feet tall. What keeps you up at night and takes your joy? When we worry, we’re making our problem our God. Do yourself a favor: take that worry off the throne and put God back on the throne. Every time you’re tempted to worry, turn it around and thank God that He’s in control, and He’s taking care of that situation.
Most of the time, especially in difficult situations, the first thoughts that come are negative. What if I don’t get well? What if I can’t make the payments? Don’t fall into that trap. Your life is going to follow your thoughts. If you live worried and anxious, you’re inviting discouragement, bad breaks, and negativity. Let the worry be a reminder to switch over to praise. Thank God that He’s fighting your battles. Thank Him that no weapon formed against you will prosper.
PRAYER:
Father, thank You that You are in control of all the situations in my life, and You are fighting my battles. I choose to guard my mind from worrisome, anxious thoughts that trap me in negativity and discouragement. I believe that no weapon formed against me will prosper in Jesus’ Name. Amen
